The CCVa was founded in 2011 by a group of curling enthusiasts to bring this wonderful and quirky sport to Richmond, Virginia. We curl throughout the year at the Richmond Ice Zone, typically on Thursday and Saturday nights, and send teams all over the country to represent CCVa at curling tournaments, called bonspiels. We also host Group Events for businesses and other groups seeking a fun combination of team collaboration and competition. We are a non-profit 501(c)3, all-volunteer organization, and our mission is to promote the sport of curling throughout central Virginia by increasing awareness and understanding of curling, providing opportunities for curlers of all skill levels to play, and training those interested in competing locally, nationally, and internationally.
